Different Ways Of Atoning For Sins

Introduction

The different ways of paying for your sins are the following:

1. By thoughtfulness and genuine repentance.

2. By the Blood of Jesus. This the highest form, which makes all the other ways consummate – complete and perfect.

3. By sin and peace offering.

4. By rendering services.

5. By restitution.

6. By performing spiritual work.

7. By gaining knowledge and avoiding sin.

8. By pleading for forgiveness.

9. By staying close to God, in genuine repentance and plea for forgiveness. Running away will only increase the weight of the offence and make the punishments more severe. Feeling less concerned by going away, showing I don’t care attitude, staying for a long time without remorse and asking for mercy.

10. By good and soft word.

11. By barter. Using a different thing to pay for what one has spoilt or damaged.

12. By suffering the penalty.
